Owner/Operator: Matt Frost
Matt holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Washington, a Master of Music degree from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Idaho. His doctoral dissertation, "Trumpet Mouthpiece Backbores: An Investigation of Interior Volume and Timbre," produced original research to better understand and design brass mouthpieces. Matt began custom mouthpiece work while apprenticing in his father’s machine shop and doing work for his teachers and peers. Frost Custom Brass was created in 2011 with the goal to provide outstanding brass mouthpiece services and products.
