Throat Check Tool

The Throat Check Tool lets you check the throat size of your mouthpiece. 

There are three sizes:

#28 - #19 -- contains all sizes from #28 to #19, this will work for most trumpet mouthpieces.

#29 - #15 -- contains all sizes from #29 to #15, this will work for those trumpet, cornet, and flugelhorn mouthpieces that have throats up to a #15.

#30 - #1 -- contains all sizes from #30 to #1, this will work for just about any trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, french horn, and some trombone mouthpieces.

Venturi Tool

The Venturi Tool has two purposes.

1) The tapered end, when inserted into the trumpet leadpipe and lightly tapped, will slightly bevel the square edge of the leadpipe/beginning of the venturi. This will make the trumpet play more open.

2) The square/flat end, when inserted into the trumpet leadpipe and lightly tapped, will "square up" the edge of the leadpipe/beginning of the venturi. This will make the trumpet play less open.

The diameter of the tool is such that it works for most trumpets. Custom sizes are available if needed (either from your measurements or from mine via a shop visit).

Leadpipe Tool

The Leadpipe Tool has two purposes.

1) The tapered end, when inserted into the trumpet leadpipe from the tuning slide end and lightly tapped, will slightly bevel the square edge of the leadpipe. This will make the trumpet play more open.

2) The square/flat end, when inserted into the trumpet leadpipe from the tuning slide end and lightly tapped, will "square up" the edge of the leadpipe. This will make the trumpet play less open.

The diameter of the tool is such that it works for most trumpets. Custom sizes are available if needed (either from your measurements or from mine via a shop visit).
